In 2024, 2022, and 2020-2021, she worked with a new group, Bull City Votes, on voter registration, get out the vote, and ballot curing in North Carolina and Georgia. In 2018, Faulkner worked — with many other grassroots activists — to turn out the Democratic vote in Durham and elect Anita Earls to the NC Supreme Court. In 2008, Faulkner co-founded Durham for Obama (DFO), an 11,000-member grassroots organization that mobilized voters then continued to push Obama to the left after he was elected. League of Women Voters of North Carolina, et. al. The case was heard by the U.S. Supreme Court in March, 2019. Unfortunately, the Court ultimately ruled 5-4 against the plaintiffs.
